Born in Bruges, living in Brussels since 2015. Raised by musical parents, he started to play the violin at a very early age and switched to the piano at the age of eight. On hearing a recording of Dizzy Gillespie’s version of The Sunny Side of the Street, his interest was aroused in jazz music. In 2012, he started his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he graduated 5 years later. Now Hendrik goes around writing and playing his or other people’s music, interested mainly in the acoustic sound possibilities of the piano, in keyboards and computers and the collaboration or isolation of musicians.
